A 14-year-old girl has died and 25 more people were injured after their school minibus was involved in a crash with a bin lorry.
The student, who attended John Taylor High School in East Staffordshire, was killed in a crash in Birmingham around 9 a.m. Friday. She has not been named.
The girl was on her way to a school art trip when the collision took place on the A38 road through outer Birmingham.

Two ambulances and a helicopter were called shortly after the crash, but paramedics were unable to help her, and pronounced the girl dead at the scene.
A statement from the West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "There were 25 patients from the minibus. One of whom, a teenage girl, had suffered serious injuries in the collision and unfortunately it immediately became apparent that nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene."
The 25 patients above included 20 other children, three teachers and the minibus driver. One girl was taken to Heartlands Hospital in Birmingham with what police described as "superficial injuries".
Everyone else was treated at the scene and let go. The driver of the bin lorry was not hurt.
West Midlands Police said in a statement that they would keep the road closed for several hours while they investigate. Both drivers are assisting them.
Officials at John Taylor High School issued a statement earlier this morning saying it was "working to support those directly affected." There has been no further comment since the student's death was announced.
